WATCH GRID: Normal day
The WATCH GRID is a weekly attempt to categorize your college football Saturday by watchability.
Hello and welcome to WATCH GRID, Week Whatever.
Yep, that’s the end of this week’s WATCH GRID! It just kinda ends!
Anyway, it’s Auburn-Georgia day! In October?? In October! I like Auburn-Georgia day. Something always goes wrong. Historically, I’m confident there are very few major rivalries that have wrecked both participants as frequently as this one has. So in that sense, something going wrong will actually be normal. See? Normal day.
As always, WATCH GRID does not merely seek to rank games by competence, but by estimated watchability. Your school should rank more highly, but I am intimidated by its academic renown.
If you like this newsletter, you’ll like Split Zone Duo, a new podcast by Richard Johnson, Alex Kirshner, and friends, wherever you get your podcasts: Apple, Spotify, Google, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Stitcher, RSS, and so forth. This weekend’s preview episode is still relevant, and a quickie weekend recap will drop Sunday evening-ish.
This is fantastic; including the network is super helpful too.
